Dr. Lee H. Zamos originally from Auburn Twp., OH grew up as the youngest of 5 boys in his family. Prior to dental school, Dr. Zamos earned a B.A. in Zoology from Miami University where he also played varsity football. He then attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, earning his DMD in 2015.
Upon graduation Dr. Zamos pursued advanced training in hospital dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency with the University of Washington Medical Center in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery. During residency Dr. Zamos gained experience in oral surgery, emergency dentistry, root canals, pediatric dentistry, clinical pathology, dental implants, orthodontics and the safe treatment of medically compromised patients. After completing his GPR, Dr. Zamos spent 3 years working as an Indian Health Service Dentist for the Tulalip Tribes in Washington state before moving on to private practice.
Dr. Zamos brings a commitment to excellence, patient education, and compassionate care to his practice. He is an active supporter of the American Dental Association and its local components, as well as an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Zamos has also earned the prestigious distinction of being a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a recognition only 6% of dentists have achieved. Dr. Zamos has held teaching faculty roles with the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, and the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Zamos teaches part time as clinical attending faculty with the title of Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Seminole, FL where he helps train resident dentists in a broad scope of advanced dental care.
Dr. Zamos is passionate about high quality continuing education and believes that you truly learn by teaching which is why he has stayed engaged in formal dental education for his entire career. Dr. Zamos also travels across the country pursuing advanced training from some of the best dentists in the world. Details matter in healthcare, and we make every decision with intentionality to optimize the health, and experiences of our patients in our office. It matters a great deal to us.
Away from dentistry Dr. Zamos is Dad and enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and their two boys: Forrest and Robert. Lee and his wife Katie met in second grade and grew up together as friends only starting dating in their late 20s. Katie and Lee truly are best friends and their many shared hobbies include traveling, hiking, mountaineering, photography, cooking BBQ feasts, baking, playing basketball and spending time on or in the water – including learning to kite board!
