Reason to Smile
The first thing one notices after stepping their foot inside the office is an arrangement of beautiful fresh flowers. To one side of the room, a man sits comfortably in a massage chair. On the other, a friendly receptionist steps from behind the counter to greet you. A refreshing aroma fills the room, and as you glance back toward the door you wonder to yourself: “Is this a dentist's office or a day spa?”

The office belongs to Dr. Charles Martin Jr., a south Tampa native with more than 22 years of dental experience. Dr. Martin began his practice here in 1982, not long after graduating from Emory University. At first, he rented a small space in South Tampa but moved to his present location as the practice expanded.
“I love this community, I grew up here and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else,” says Dr. martin. “But I've seen South Tampa change and become busier. We've created a place where people can relax and leave the hustle and bustle behind.”
Whether the patient's needs are cosmetic, restorative or preventative, Dr. Martin and his dedicated team can handle your needs. For example, the digital radiography takes x-rays with minimal exposure for immediate patient viewing. One life that was changed dramatically for the better belongs to Angie Gatlin, a breast cancer survivor from California who traveled 3,000 miles to see Dr. Martin. “I was so self-conscious that I never used to smile,” Angie says. Dr. Martin changed that by giving her a new smile using porcelain veneers.
“They feel so real. They feel like they grew there,” Angie says. “He completely rebuilt every tooth in my mouth and has changed my life forever.”
